State Rep. Bennett recovering, hopes to be released from hospital soon

BLOOMINGTON — State Rep. Tom Bennett of Gibson City continues to recover from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle crash last week and hopes to be released from a Bloomington hospital as early as Tuesday, his chief of staff said Monday.

PAXTON — Public defender Harvey Welch was appointed Friday to represent a Gibson City man charged with three felony counts of disorderly conduct for threatening to “blow up” a female family member at her school.
