Managers of fireworks supply firm plead guilty to theft

PAXTON — The managers of a Central Illinois fireworks supplier have been sentenced to 18 months of court supervision after admitting that they accepted an $11,279 check from the city of Paxton for fireworks they knew they would not be able to provide.

Josh Henderson: From drug addict to employed college student

PAXTON — Josh Henderson stood calmly at the podium in front of friends, family and others in Ford County’s courtroom. It was not the first time he had been there, but this time was different.

“Hello, everyone. I’m Josh. I’m an alcoholic. I’m an addict,” the 31-year-old Paxton man said.

“I’m sorry. This is harder than I thought,” he said as the tears began to flow.


State's attorney's office donates $2,000 to local police to fight opioid crisis
