PBL budget amended for second time

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school board approved placing an amended budget for the fiscal year that ends June 30 on public display during its monthly meeting last Wednesday night. This was the second time this spring that Superintendent Cliff McClure amended the budget.

McMullin named PBL High School's student of month

A son of Kelly and Jenny McMullin, the senior was nominated for the award by two of his teachers: AP calculus teacher Sheila Pickens and physics teacher Dave Shellhamer.

PBL High School renovation work begins April 30

PAXTON — Parents of students at Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School are being advised to have their children keep either a sweatshirt or long-sleeved shirt at school starting Monday, when the school’s heat is turned off to allow contractors to begin demolition of the school’s mechanical system.

PBL school board approves five-year contract with superintendent

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school board recently approved an employment contract that will keep Cliff McClure employed as the school district’s superintendent for five more years.

The performance-based contract — obtained by the Ford County Record on Thursday through a Freedom of Information Act request — runs from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2023.
