GIBSON CITY — Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley school board members approved the school district’s budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year Monday night.

PAXTON — Paxton-Buckley-Loda school district faculty members have reached a tentative collective-bargaining agreement with the district’s board of education.


PBL's finance committee to discuss budget Wednesday

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school board’s finance committee will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, immediately prior to the board’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

On the agenda for the committee meeting, to be held in the board room at the unit office in Paxton, is a discussion about the school district’s proposed budget for the 2019 fiscal year, which began July 1.

Early dismissals on tap for first seven days of school at PBL

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school district will have early dismissals each of the first seven days of the 2018-19 school year to allow more time for staff to hold coordination meetings.


PBL school board to hear construction update

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda school board will hear a report on the progress of the Clara Peterson Elementary School renovation/expansion project and the PBL High School renovation project during its next meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the board room at the unit office in Paxton.
