Lott Boulevard repairs to get under way soon

GIBSON CITY — The city sent a letter to residents Thursday, notifying them that Iroquois Paving Corp. will make repairs to Lott Boulevard, from 8th to 13th streets, in upcoming weeks.

“The project will entail the removal and replacement of curb and gutter, pavement patching, storm sewers, sidewalk removal and replacement, and HMA resurfacing,” the letter says.


Section of Illinois 115 re-opens in Ford County

ROBERTS — The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced Thursday that it has re-opened a section of Illinois 115 in Ford County that had been closed in order to make repairs to a deteriorated double-barrel box culvert.


Contract with wind farm developer calls for millions in escrow

PAXTON — The co-developer of a wind farm planned for northern Ford County and southern Kankakee County said that an escrow agreement approved by the Ford County Board last week calls for the developers to provide several million dollars in financial security to Ford County to cover repairs and improvements to public roads used to build the wind farm.


Plans outlined for future work projects in Paxton

PAXTON — Two committees of the Paxton City Council met Monday night to outline plans for future work projects.

The public works committee recommended that the full council approve spending up to $25,000 for a new wireless control system that connects the city’s water towers to the pumping station.


Bridges on north side of Rantoul to be closed for six months
