Jake Stevenson -- The former Paxton-Buckley-Loda football standout started at center for a McKendree University team that produced 495 yards of total offense in a 50-32 win Saturday over Lincoln (Mo.).

PBL cross country runners compete at IHSA Class 1A state meet

PEORIA -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School boys cross country team finished 20th at Saturday's IHSA Class 1A state meet.
 
"It wasn't too bad at all. We had our sights set on a little higher team place, but overall, the guys ran outstanding," PBL head coach Dustin Franckey said.

PBL boys, Evie Ellis advance to IHSA Class 1A state cross country meet

LISLE -- Paxton-Buckley-Loda's Ryder James took fourth in 16 minutes, 32 seconds to help PBL place fourth and advance their team to state at Saturday's Class 1A Lisle Sectional.
 
On the girls' side Evie Ellis placed 12th in the girls' race, with her time of 20 minutes, 19 seconds good enough to clinch a date at the state meet.

Nick Porter -- The former Paxton-Buckley-Loda cross country standout finished 52nd with a time of 27:24.6 for Bradley University in Friday's Illini Open, which was hosted by the University of Illinois.

PBL High School boys, girls advance to IHSA Class 1A sectionals; Panther boys place second at regionals as Ryder James finishes third individually

KANKAKEE -- For the fourth straight year, the Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School cross country program will send two teams to the IHSA Class 1A sectional round.

PBL High School boys cross country places seventh at Patriot Invite

PEORIA -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School boys cross country team finished seventh in the 43-team Patriot Invite held Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
 
The Panthers finished with a score of 288 while Elmwood/Brimfield scored a 94 to finish first.

PBL JH cross country runners compete in IESA Class 2A state meet

NORMAL — Trixie Johnson of the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Junior High School girls cross country team finished 102nd in the IESA Class 2A state meet with a time of 13:11.8 on Saturday.

Teammate Alexis Putnam finished 107th with a time of 13:15.1.
