Shrine Game to take place June 16

BLOOMINGTON — The Illinois Coaches Association and the Shriners of Illinois will host the 44th annual Illinois High School Shrine Game at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.

Kick-off for the game is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. 


PBL's Brandon Scott signs to play football for Knox College

PAXTON -- Brandon Scott, a senior at Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School, signed his letter of intent on Friday to play football for Knox College.
 
"I'm very excited about going to Knox this upcoming fall," Scott said.
 
Scott was the third PBL football player to sign with the Division III school in the past five years.

PBL senior Alex Pippin to play football for College of DuPage

PAXTON -- For Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School senior Alex Pippin, a 13-year football career will continue as he signed his letter of intent on Monday to play for the College of DuPage.
 
"It feels good. I can keep playing," Pippin said. "It's great to know that I can keep playing.

IHSA Football Advisory Committee proposing changes to season format

BLOOMINGTON -- In a meeting held Thursday, April 19, one of the discussion items discussed at the IHSA Football Advisory Committee was a regular-season scheduling option in which the IHSA office would assign schools to eight- or nine-team districts.
 
Schools would be placed in districts based on enrollment and geography.
