PBL's Cassidi Nuckols to play basketball for Parkland College

PAXTON -- Cassidi Nuckols, a Paxton-Buckley-Loda senior, signed her letter of intent Monday to play for Parkland College's women's basketball program.
 
"I'm excited (to play) basketball in college," Nuckols said.

Pure Sweat Basketball camp to be held May 19

PAXTON -- Brandon Heyen, a 2011 Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School graduate, is holding a Pure Sweat Basketball camp at PBL Junior High School on Saturday, May 19, for boys and girls in the fifth-12th grades.
 
The girls' camp will take place from 2-4 p.m., with the boys' camp to follow at 4-6 p.m.

PAXTON -- Liberty Jamison and Ariana Gentzler of the Paxton-Buckley-Loda girls basketball team were each selected to the all-Sangamon Valley Conference first team.
 
Mackenzie Bruns and Cassidi Nuckols were each named to the second team while Baylee Cosgrove was selected as an honorable mention.

GIBSON CITY -- WGCY Radio in Gibson City will host the Sangamon Valley Conference/Heart of Illinois Conference All-Star basketball games on Saturday, March 17, at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School.
 
The girls' game will tip off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys' contest.
