Watseka jumped out to a 10-0 lead before PBL was able to put four points on the board to cut its deficit to 13-4 at the end of the first quarter.

ST. JOSEPH -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda seventh-grade girls basketball team defeated St. Joseph 20-15 on Thursday.
 
"The girls played an amazing game," PBL seventh-grade coach Stacy Johnson said. "We lost to St. Joseph in the summer at our Panther Shootout and I told the girls we will get them in the regular season, and they did just that.

PBL eighth-grade girls basketball loses 31-23 to St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda eighth-grade girls basketball team lost 31-23 Thursday to St. Joseph.

“It was a tough loss,” PBL eighth-grade coach Lynn Rubarts said. “They played their hearts out and I couldn’t be more proud of them.” 

The Panthers started the game with a 9-0 deficit early in the first quarter before ending the quarter on a 6-0 run.


PBL sixth-grade girls basketball sweeps doubleheader against Rantoul Eater

PAXTON — The Paxton-Buckley-Loda sixth-grade girls basketball team swept a Thursday doubleheader against Rantoul Eater.

In game one, PBL won 29-10. Top scorers for the Panthers were Kamryn Suhl with 15 points, Leah Eyre with eight points, Bailey Luebchow with four points and Mackenzie Swan with two points.

PAXTON -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda seventh-grade girls basketball team won 18-8 Tuesday over Ridgeview.

ONARGA -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda seventh-grade girls basketball team won 15-14 Tuesday over Iroquois West in a Twin County Conference matchup. 
 
At the end of the third quarter, PBL was down by two points, having been outscored 9-0 during the quarter.

PBL sixth-grade girls basketball team splits with St. Joseph

PAXTON -- The Paxton-Buckley-Loda sixth-grade girls basketball team won 16-14 in game one against St. Joseph on Monday.  
Leading scorers in that game include Jordyn Goss with eight points and Kamryn Suhl with four points and Brooke Kleinert and Bailey Luebehow each added a basket.

Tri-Point girls basketball teams defeat PBL

PIPER CITY -- The Tri-Point eighth-grade girls basketball team defeated Paxton-Buckley-Loda 31-21 on Monday.
 
Lillie Frichtl led the Panthers with nine points while Mia Sifuentes had four points, Makenna Ecker and Carly Mutchmore each had three points and Maisy Johnson had two points.
