SPRINGFIELD -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley girls golf team's season ended Saturday at the IHSA Class 1A Williamsville Sectional.

GCMS girls golf finishes fifth in HOIC Meet; Spangler takes third place individually

EL PASO -- Shannon Spangler shot a 90 to finish third in Tuesday's Heart of Illinois Conference Meet for a Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley girls golf team that finished fifth out of eight teams with a score of 430.
 
Spangler reached her score of 90 by shooting a 46 in the front nine and a 44 in the back nine.
 
Megan Moody finished 16th with a scor

GCMS girls golf wins dual meet over Iroquois West

GIBSON CITY -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley girls golf team defeated Iroquois West 200-210 on Wednesday.
 
Megan Moody shot a 45 for first place individually while teammate Shannon Spangler shot a 47 for second place.

GCMS boys, girls golf teams compete with Watseka in dual meet

SHELDON -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley boys golf team beat Watseka 167-202 in a dual match at Shewami Country Club. 
 
Clay Bane earned medalist honors for GCMS with a 37. Lukas Ball shot a 41 to pace Watseka.
 
The Watseka girls knocked off Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 195-207 in a dual match at Shewami Country Club.

GCMS girls golf finishes second at triangular meet in LeRoy

At LeRoy. Megan Woltkamp of LeRoy shot a 50 to tie for medalist honors, but LeRoy placed third in a triangular at LeRoy Country Club. The Panthers compiled a 220, six strokes back of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (214) and 12 behind Tri-Valley (208).

GCMS girls golf wins dual meet over Fisher

GIBSON CITY -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley girls golf team won 203-225 over Fisher in a dual meet held Monday.
 
Megan Moody finished first individually for the Falcons by shooting a 47 while teammates Shannon Spangler, Hattie Parsons and Katie Johnson finished second, fourth and fifth, respectively.

GCMS girls golf places second in triangular meet at Eureka

EUREKA -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley girls golf team finished second in a triangular meet Thursday at Eureka.
 
The Falcons shot a 198 while Eureka finished first with a score of 168 and Flanagan-Cornell placed third with a score of 254.
 
Hattie Parsons was GCMS's leading scorer as she shot a 48 to take fifth place individually behind Eure
