PBL Junior HIgh School student helps Illinois FC U12 girls team win tournament title

CHAMPAIGN -- Paxton-Buckley-Loda 6th grader Natalie Bunag and her Illinois Football Club age 12-and-under girls team won their division's championship at the Illinois FC Fall Cup tournament last weekend.
 
After wins against Northwind SC (6-2) and FC Peoria (3-0) on Saturday, a tie against Impact FC (2-2) Sunday morning put Illinois FC in the championship match Sunday

Them Soccerclub FCYSC evening camp

Them Soccerclub hosted Ford County Youth Soccer Club evening camp sessions from July 16-19 for ages 10-and-under, 14-and-under and 18-and-under in Gibson City. A daytime camp was hosted by Them Soccerclub in June. The camp in Gibson City raised over $1,500 for the Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School program.

Chicago Fire soccer clinics to be held in Paxton

PAXTON -- Chicago Fire Soccer In The Community, in partnership with Them Soccerclub, will offer free open trainer clinics in Paxton.
 
The clinics will be held at 601 S. Fall Street in Paxton on March 24.
 
The ages 3-7 clinic will be held from 9-10 a.m., followed by the ages 8-14 clinic (10-11 a.m.) and ages 15-18 clinic (11 a.m.-noon).

Paxton resident Mike Wilson officiates IHSA soccer state tournament

NAPERVILLE -- Paxton resident Mike Wilson was one of 11 soccer officials assigned to last weekend's IHSA Class 2A/3A state-final girls' tournament.
 
He officated the Class 2A semifinal match between West Chicago Wheaton Academy and Lemont, which Wheaton Academy won 1-0 after gaining a 7-6 advantage in penalty kicks.

Trent Wooten – The former Paxton-Buckley-Loda football standout had four tackles, including one for a 3-yard loss, for Knox College in a 55-17 loss Saturday to Lake Forest College.

Jordan Anderson – The 2015 PBL graduate had three tackles, including one half of a tackle for a loss of one yard, for Knox College’s football team on Saturday.
