Description of Position:
Assists with supervising and coordinating the food preparation and food service activities for nursing home residents, adult daycare clients, employees, and visitors in accordance with IDPH and IDPA regulations and food service sanitation procedures.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices utilized in the preparation of food on a large scale, thorough knowledge of public health sanitation standards, and a basic understanding of nutrition and staff regulations of long term care facilities. Must possess ability to plan, organize, train, and inspect the work of subordinates. Must have knowledge of the principles of resident rights, confidentiality, and EEO. Must possess an associates or bachelor's degree in food service management, food service sanitation certificate, food service manager certificate, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
