The City of Gibson (pop. 3407) is seeking an experienced Water Operator. Duties include well mechanical, electrical and meter maintenance. Water Plant operation and maintenance includes an aerator, gravity iron filters, gas chlorination, fluoride addition, lab work and record keeping. Distribution system maintenance includes water mains, 300K and 100K water towers, Julie locates; installation, maintenance and reading of water meters and required water samples. Water certification is a plus. A Class B certification is required by IEPA to operate the facility. Must have or be able to attain CDL license with six months of employment and must be willing to relocate to within 20 miles of the City limits within one year of employment. City offers an excellent benefit package.
