PBL High School FFA chapter to sponsor Farm Toy Show on Feb. 11

PAXTON — Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School’s FFA chapter will sponsor its 24th annual Farm Toy Show from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the high school in Paxton.

The event — the FFA chapter’s largest fund-raiser of the year — features farm toys and parts for sale by dozens of dealers who will have tables set up in the high school’s gym. Set-up time for dealers is from 6-8:30 a.m.

There will also be farm toy displays. Trophies will be awarded for best of show and best display.

There will also be a silent auction.  The public may consign toys to a limit of 50 total items.

A concession stand run by FFA members’ parents will also be offered. Lunch will also be sold.
There will also be door prizes and a pedal tractor pull for children.

Prior to the event, the FFA chapter will also be selling highly detailed minitature tractor models commemorating the farm toy show. The models are a 1/16th-scale “Spec Cast International Harvester W450D Diesel,” with rubber tires, a wide front and metal rims. Only 100 of the models will be produced and sold prior to the show. They cost $65 each, plus $10 in shipping and handling fees, and will be shipped after Feb. 22.
