FFA petting zoo offered Feb. 24 at PBL High School

PAXTON — In celebration of National FFA Week, Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School’s FFA chapter is hosting an open house and petting zoo at the high school from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.

The public is welcome to attend.

PBL FFA student Dallas Glazik said the petting zoo will feature farm animals including goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, dogs, rabbits, baby chicks (if they hatch) and possibly pigs, a calf and a miniature horse.

There will also be a fish demonstration. A tractor from Birkey’s Farm Store will also be on display.

Also, a farm safety seminar will be offered by FFA students.

All activities are in the ag shop and classroom on the school’s west side.
