PAXTON — The Swedish Heritage Society will once again celebrate its history with Swedish Heritage Day on Saturday, Aug. 11.
The event starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. at Majestic Park in downtown Paxton.
The day will include music, arts, crafters and Allen Meyer’s kettle corn. The Ford County Historical Society’s water tower museum will also be open, as well as the Illinois Central Railroad Historical Society museum.
Area violin students will also be performing Swedish, country and classical music starting at 11 a.m.
Those attending are advised to bring lawn chairs.
