Community Sale scheduled for April 7 in Paxton

PAXTON — The Paxton Community Sale, presented by the Paxton Park District, is scheduled for April 7 at 10 a.m. It will be held at Coady Park off of Stockholm and Fall streets.

Items will be accepted starting on April 6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. On sale day, items can be accepted from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. To consign items, check in at the park district building.

A $1 fee will be charged for each buyer’s item. Registration of buyers will begin 8 a.m. in the park district building. Buyers must pay for their items on sale day.

A 15 percent commission will be charged per tagged item. Items that don’t bring $3 are considered donated, so group your items together to bring at least that amount.

All vehicles must have a clear title that will be left at the check-in area in the park district building before the sale begins. For all licensed vehicles, a $25 non-refundable processing fee is charged at the check-in time in addition to the 15 percent commission fee.

All major appliances will have a $10 non-refundable fee in addition to the 15 percent commission fee.
No dogs, cats, firearms, hazardous materials, LP tanks or tires not mounted on usable rims will be accepted.

Once the items are auctioned off, they are the buyer’s responsibility and must be paid for in full at the check-in area on the day of the sale with cash or a good check. There will be no exceptions to this term.

All items must be removed from the auction site the day of the auction. All items are sold “as is,” so bid accordingly.
