PAXTON — The Paxton Civic Center will host a course for persons interested in obtaining certification in first aid, CPR and the use of autmoated external defibrillators on Saturday, Feb. 16.
The course will be led by Jen Wilson, an emergency medical technician with 20 years of service in emergency medicine and classroom instruction.
The course will cover topics such as first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, adult CPR and AED use, child CPR and AED use and infant CPR.
People who complete the course will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver course completion card that is valid for two years.
Participants must register and submit payment by Feb. 14. To register, call 379-4203.
