Ford County Sheriff's Office police blotter (June 6, 2012)

PAXTON — The Ford County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of activity for May 20 through June 2:

Complaints reported
— On May 21, ATS Rentals of Piper City reported a fraudulent rental.

— On May 23, a deputy responded to a report of domestic trouble in rural Paxton.  The trouble was verbal only in nature.

— On May 23, a deputy assisted the Ford County Probation Office and the Gibson City Police Department with a search of a Gibson City home.

— On May 24, a deputy assisted the Piper City Police Department with an alarm at ATS Rentals.

— On May 24, Brian Williams of Bourbonnais reported the theft of multiple items from a farm on Ford County Road 4000 North.

— On May 24, a complaint of loud music was handled on North Crossley Street in Melvin.

— On May 25, assistance was rendered to the Illinois State Police with the removal of debris from a lane of traffic on Interstate 57.

— On May 27, Rodney Frechette of Piper City reported a burglary at Auto Repair Unlimited in Piper City.

— On May 27, a burglar alarm was received from the Ford County Highway Department building in Roberts. The cause of the alarm was undetermined.

— On May 28, a report of a prowler was received in Melvin.  The area was checked, and no prowler was found.

— On May 30, a deputy assisted the Piper City Police Department with a call of a possibly suicidal male. The report was unfounded.

— On May 30, a deputy assisted the Piper City police chief with a call regarding a man with a club threatening children in a park. 

— On May 30, Craig Putnam of rural Loda reported criminal trespass to land.

— On May 30, a complaint of loud noise was received in Clarence.

— On May 31, Steven Bloomstrand of Loda reported a broken window on a vehicle that was parked inside the security fence at Rocket Supply’s facility in Roberts.

— On June 1, an abandoned vehicle was reported in the roadway near Ford County roads 900 East and 900 North.  The owner was located and issued a citation for improper parking on roadway.

Traffic accidents
— On May 22, Debra Martin of Fisher struck a whitetail deer in the roadway at 250 N. Illinois 47.

— On May 26, Gary Benz of rural Melvin was involved in a one-vehicle rollover accident on County Road 800 East. He was taken from the scene by Gibson Area Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

— On May 31, Anna Stork of rural Roberts failed to yield to an oncoming Canadian National train at a railroad crossing south of Roberts.  The train struck her vehicle in the right rear and pushed the vehicle off of the tracks.  She was uninjured in the crash.  Stork was issued a traffic citation for the crash.

Arrests

— On May 20, Raymond Adolfson of rural Rankin was arrested following a traffic stop at the intersection of Illinois 9 and Ford County Road 2100 East. Adolfson was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— On May 25, Lyndzie Rutledge of Paxton was arrested at 2175 E. Ford County Road 200 North. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.

— On May 25, Robert Richardson of Champaign was arrested at 2175 E. Ford County Road 200 North for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and permitting a driver under the influence to drive a motor vehicle.

— On May 25, Kurt Keller of rural Watseka was arrested following a single-vehicle accident at 2775 E. Illinois 9.  He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to provide proof of liability insurance.

— On May 27, Patrick Nugent of Melvin was arrested at his residence for assault, domestic battery and unlawful delivery or gift of alcohol to a minor.

— On May 27, Victoria Ensign of Melvin was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
