Several accidents involving deer, vehicles reported in Iroquois County

WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office responded to seven collisions involving vehicle and deer recently. In each accident, no injuries were reported , no tickets were issued and damage to the vehicle was estimated at more than $1,500.

The accidents involved the following drivers:

— Stephen Runge, 18, of Paxton, on Oct. 29 at the intersection of county roads 100 East and 200 North near Loda.

— Jennifer L. Tofari, 34, of Gilman, on Oct. 28 on County Road 200 East near the intersection with 2950 North, west of Clifton.

— Joshua W. Wessels, 34, of Hoopeston, on Oct. 30 on County Road 1600 North, about an eighth of a mile east of Illinois 1, near Watseka.

— Bobby L. Flowers, 48, of Martinton, on Oct. 28 on County Road 2900 North near County Road 1500 East, east of Ashkum.

— Deborah L. Phelps, 47, of Watseka, on Oct. 31 on Illinois 1 near County Road 2000 North, near Watseka.

— Nancy I. Schroeder, 63, of Watseka, on Nov. 1 on County Road 2000 North
near County Road 2230 East, near Watseka.

— Donald Jansen, 50, of Watseka, on Oct. 24 on County Road 43 near County Road 27 in Belmont Township.
