Iroquois County Sheriff's Office police blotter (Nov. 15, 2012)

WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of recent activity:

— Denham S. Gage, 19, of Gilman, was arrested Nov. 14 on a Kankakee County warrant for retail theft (under $300). Denham was transported to the Iroquois County Jail and later taken to the Kankakee County Jail.

— Todd E. Brady, 43, of Sheldon, was arrested Nov. 14 for two counts of forgery, theft (under $300) and violation of bail bond. Brady was taken to the Iroquois County Jail, where he remained Nov. 15 awaiting a court appearance.

— No injuries were reported and no citations were issued after a Hoopeston woman crashed her vehicle while trying to avoid a deer in the road southeast of Wellington. The accident occurred on County Road 000 North, near 3000 East, when Eva Resendez, 34, of Hoopeston, was traveling east on 000 North and a deer entered the road. Resendez swerved to miss the deer and began to lose control of her vehicle. Her vehicle skid sideways, crossing the westbound lane, before entering a ditch on the north side of the road, where it overturned one time before coming to a rest on its wheels. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at more than $1,500.
