Paxton Police Blotter (Nov. 28, 2012)

PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

Arrests
— Erin N. Rigsby, 19, of 428 E. Larson St., Paxton, was arrested for battery for allegedly striking another
19-year-old female at a party in an apartment at 1010 S. Washington St. shortly before midnight on Nov. 24.

— Lisa K. Harris-Grice, 28, of 105 E. State St., Apt. 6, Paxton, was arrested for battery for allegedly battering a 30-year-old man living with her at 3:25 a.m. Nov. 23.

— Logan A. Robinson, 18, of 327 E. Fulton St., Paxton, was arrested for possession of cannabis (over 30 grams), possession with intent to deliver 30 or more grams of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Nov. 21 in the 600 block of South Vermilion Street.

— Tony G. Brown, 31, of 434 E. Pine St., Paxton, was arrested on several cannabis-related charges following the execution of a search warrant at his home at 5:15 p.m. Nov. 21. Police seized about 260 grams of cannabis and an undisclosed amount of cash and arrested Brown for possession of more than 30 grams of cannabis, possession with intent to deliver more than 30 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Bradley A. Staton, 23, of 615 N. Market St., Paxton, for possession of cannabis (under 10 grams). Staton was visiting the Pine Street residence. A third person in the home was not charged.

— Jeffrey S. Henderson Jr., 28, of 1155 Roselawn Drive, Paxton, was arrested for battery for allegedly battering and shoving a 21-year-old female at No. 6 Weaver Trailer Court at 7:47 p.m. Nov. 11.

— Kyle D. Smith, 21, of No. 17 Weaver Trailer Court, was arrested for criminal trespass to land after police responded to No. 16 Weaver Trailer Court at 9:36 p.m. Nov. 19.

— John T. Schneider, 47, of Hoopeston, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and ticketed for improper lane usage following a traffic stop at 9:10 a.m. Nov. 14 in the 400 block of East Pells Street. Schneider’s 2008 Honda CRV was pulled over after police received a complaint from a driver who was following Schneider’s vehicle and reported that his vehicle was swerving on the roadway while heading west into Paxton on Illinois 9.

— Diana M. Parker, 43, of Aurora, was arrested for possession of cannabis (under 30 grams), driving on a revoked license and unlawful possession of a registration sticker following a traffic stop Nov. 21 on West Taft Street. The vehicle she was driving was seized. She was also ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle.

Traffic accidents
— Paxton firefighters were called to a report of a gas leak in a car parked in the 100 block of North Market Street at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 21. The vehicle’s driver, Carolyn M. Watson, 63, of Rankin, told police she realized her vehicle was leaking gas after it had run over what appeared to be a chunk of concrete that had fallen off of a truck at the intersection of Orleans and Railroad Avenue. She then drove to the 100 block of North Market Street and parked the vehicle. The vehicle was towed.

— No injuries were reported in an accident at 5:40 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 200 block of West Patton Street. The accident occurred when Gordon L. Watkins, 86, of 325 W. Patton St., Paxton, was driving a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass and struck the driver’s side door of a 2000 Ford Excursion driven by a juvenile from Paxton. Watkins was ticketed for improper lane usage.

— No injuries were reported when a 2000 Pontiac driven by a 17-year-old female from Paxton struck an unoccupied, parked 1997 Saturn S12 owned by Thomas Overstreet of Paxton at 9:12 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 400 block of West Orleans Street.

Complaints
— Police are investigating the reported theft of a pack of cigarettes from the Village Pantry, 435 S. Railroad Ave. The theft occurred at 5:24 p.m. Nov. 4 and was reported the following day. Police have identified three suspects, but no arrests have been made.

— A Paxton woman reported damage to her 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck on Nov. 18. The complainant was Laurie A. McHenry, 46, of 800 S. High St., Apt. 4. She said her truck was found scratched and with damage to its front windshield.

Traffic tickets
— Kyle R. Shoemaker, 18, of Paxton, was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 8:11 p.m. Nov. 17 at the intersection of Patton Street and Railroad Avenue.

— Gene A. Hudson, 50, of Gibson City, was ticketed for disobeying a traffic-control device during a traffic stop at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 15 at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Pells Street.

— Michelle R. Schultz, 25, of Mahomet, was ticketed for operating a vehicle with expired registration and for operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 8:44 p.m. Nov. 14 at the intersection of Market and Pine streets.

— Dylan M. Renfrow, 18, of Paxton, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign and operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 10 at the intersection of Summer and High streets.

— Jamie Peers, 18, of Paxton, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign during a traffic
stop at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 9 at the intersection of Summer and High streets.

— Dekoda L. Nelson-Thomas, 19, of Fisher, was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign during a traffic stop at 10:05 p.m. Nov. 8 at the intersection of Summer and High streets.

— Tracy M. Williams, 48, of Rantoul, was ticketed for disobeying a traffic-control device during a
traffic stop at 10 p.m. Nov. 2 at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Pells Street.

Notices to appear
— Wolfgang Heisler, 41, of 209 S. Railroad Ave., Paxton, was issued a notice to appear in court for permitting a dog to run at large in the city at 2:45 p.m. Nov. 7.
