Paxton Police Blotter (Jan. 3, 2013)

PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

Traffic accidents
— A Paxton woman refused medical treatment after her car accidentally struck the front of Hudson Drug & Hallmark Shop, 108 N. Market St., at 10:43 a.m. Dec. 30. Doris J. Stamm, 82, of Paxton, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu into a parking space in front of the store when her foot slipped off the break and accidentally hit the gas pedal, police said. Her car then hit the building, causing more than $1,500 in damage. No tickets were issued.

— A Loda woman refused medical treatment after her pickup truck crashed on the southbound on-ramp to Interstate 57 at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 30. Cynthia A. Zaloudek, 46, of Loda, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 on the on-ramp when her vehicle dropped off the edge of the road, causing the vehicle to roll over onto its roof. Zaloudek and a juvenile passenger refused treatment at the scene. No tickets were issued.

Complaints
— Damage to the rear window of a minivan parked at Jay’s Motorcar, 151 S. Railroad Ave., was reported. The crime is believed to have occurred between noon Dec. 22 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 24. A 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan parked in the south lot of the businesses was found with damage to its rear window. The cost of repair was not immediately known. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Ford County Crimestoppers at 784-4173. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Traffic tickets
— James M. Lebradon, 40, of West Lafayette, Ind., was ticketed for speeding (76 mph in a 55-mph zone) during a traffic stop at 4:04 p.m. Dec. 29 at the intersection of Illinois 9 and Ford County Road 1700 East, on Paxton’s west edge.

— Nicole B. Jones, 21, of Ludlow, was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 4:07 a.m. Dec. 26 at the intersection of Market Street and Ottawa Road.

— Melissa S. Schluter, 44, of Rantoul, was ticketed for speeding (53 mph in a 30-mph zone) during a traffic stop at 11 a.m. Dec. 24 at the intersection of Stockholm Road and Park Street.

— Antoine Sims, 36, of Chicago, was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 20 on the Interstate 57 on-ramp.
