Heroin, guns seized from home in Gibson City; two men arrested

GIBSON CITY — Three guns, a small amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia were seized from a Gibson City home last week, leading to the arrest of two persons.

A news release from the Gibson City Police Department said police executed a search warrant at 6:13 p.m. Jan. 16 at a residence in the 100 block of North West Street in Gibson City, after obtaining information about illegal narcotics activity occurring there.

Police seized drug equipment, 0.3 grams of suspected heroin and three firearms, the release said.

Arrested were Anthony L. Hanson, 42, and Alex J. Zoller, 43, both of Gibson City.

Zoller was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, while Hanson was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a felon, delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a public park, possession of a controlled substance and armed violence.

An investigation continues, and more arrests are possible, police said.
