Ford County Sheriff's Office police blotter (Feb. 20, 2013)

PAXTON — The Ford County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of activity for the week Feb. 10-16:

— On Feb. 10, a deputy discovered a burglary that had occurred in Roberts.

— On Feb. 10, a theft was reported in Melvin.

— On Feb. 11, Lyndsey Curry of Paxton struck a whitetail deer in the roadway at 1480 E. Illinois 9, west of Paxton.

— On Feb. 11, a deputy assisted the Piper City Fire Department at a fire in rural Piper City.

— On Feb. 12, a deputy assisted the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic violence incident in Loda.

— On Feb. 13, a rural Melvin resident reported receiving an attempted scam via the Internet.

— On Feb. 14, a deputy assisted the Roberts-Melvin Fire Protection District at a house fire in Melvin.

— On Feb. 15, the possible theft of electrical equipment was reported in Clarence.

— On Feb. 16, a Kempton resident report criminal damage to property.

— On Feb. 16, a deputy assisted Illinois State Police with a traffic stop on Interstate 57.

— Deputies issued five traffic citations.
