Ford County Sheriff's Office police blotter (Feb. 25, 2013)

PAXTON — The Ford County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of activity for the week of Feb. 17-23:

— On Feb. 17, Brett Denault of Herscher was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop for speeding in Cabery.

— On Feb. 17, a deputy assisted the Melvin fire department and Gibson Area Ambulance Service with a medical call in rural Melvin.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy responded to a static-filled 911 hangup call in Piper City. The problem was in the residential phone line.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy assisted the Ford County animal control officer with a complaint of animal cruelty in Elliott.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in Piper City near a bank. The report was unfounded.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy assisted the Roberts fire department with a garage fire.

— On Feb. 21, a rural Paxton woman reported being threatened via text messages.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy assisted a Gibson City police officer and Gibson Area Ambulance Service with an unruly female patient.

— On Feb. 21, a deputy responded to a commercial burglar alarm at the Dow Agro Sciences building at 300 N. Illinois 47. The alarm was caused by an employee error.

— On Feb. 22, a deputy assisted the Melvin fire department and Gibson Area Ambulance Service with a business fire on Main Street in Melvin.

— During the week, deputies handled two civil matters and issued six traffic citations.
