Robert D. Enghausen

SIBLEY — Robert D. Enghausen, 87, of Champaign, formerly of Gibson City and Sibley, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Carle Hospital in Urbana.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sibley with military rites accorded by the Lee Lowery American Legion Post No. 568.

Mr. Enghausen was born April 15, 1931, in Sibley, a son of Ben and Augusta Weibers Enghausen.

Surviving are five children, Lon Coffman of Bloomington, Dale (Angie) Enghausen of Saybrook, Karen (Sam) Schoonover of Thomasboro, John Enghausen of Champaign and Nancy Enghausen of Thomasboro; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn (Harold) Livingston of Sibley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two nieces.

Mr. Enghausen was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Lee Lowery American Legion post in Gibson City and was a farmer.
