GCMS tennis loses 9-0 to Mahomet-Seymour

MAHOMET -- The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley tennis team lost 9-0 Tuesday to Mahomet-Seymour.
"Even in the loss tonight, the girls have continually improved on their games," GCMS head coach Cindy Petersen said. "In eight of the nine matches, we were able to win some games, and that is a huge improvement from two weeks ago when we were going 0-6/0-6 in a lot of our matches."
Summer Roesch lost 8-6 to Zoe Doehring.
"They went game for game throughout their entire match, and it was the best match so far for Summer," Petersen said.
Grace Christensen/Alayna Miller lost 8-5 in a doubles match.
"In our team talk, the girls assessed the match and felt they had all played well, but need to work on their backhands and approach shots, so back to the courts to do just that," Petersen said.
