Registration open for Paxton's 5K on the 4th Run/Walk

The annual Knights of Columbus 5K on the 4th Run/Walk will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, at Pells Park in Paxton. Last year more 225 people from throughout the area participated.
Gift certificates from Body N Sole of Champaign, valued at $750, will be part of a drawing at the completion of the race in which all participants are eligible to win, with the top three male and female finishers of the 5K race also receiving Body N Sole gift certificates. Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group as well.
New this year to the event is a 100-meter Child Chase for children eight years of age and younger and an 800-meter Kids' Run for those 12 years of age and under. Medals and ribbons will be part of the awards given to each participant.
