Christ Lutheran results
The Crusaders lost 25-22, 25-15 to Milford on Monday in the first round of the Milford Regional.

“I think we played really well,” Christ Lutheran head coach Kaylea Heideman said. “It’s one of our best matches, but Milford came to play and it was a tough loss.”

Prior to regionals, No. 5-seeded Christ Lutheran lost to No. 4 Urbana Uni-High 25-17, 25-13  in the first round of the East Central Illinois Conference Tournament on Friday.

The Crusaders defeated Normal Calvary and Cornerstone to win the consolation bracket on Saturday.

For Christ Lutheran seniors Olivia Janssen and Dani Meyer, those would be the last two victories of their volleyball career.

“They’ve come a long way this season and they should be proud of themselves,” Heideman said.

GCMS results
The Falcons’ season ended with a 25-8, 25-21 loss to St. Thomas More in the quarterfinals of the Tolono Unity Regional on Monday.

The No. 13-seeded Falcons lost 25-21, 25-14 to Ridgeview in the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament consolation quarterfinals on Thursday.

Katie Massey led GCMS’ attack in that game with four kills and three aces.

The Falcons started its run in the HOIC Tournament with a 25-9, 25-9 loss to No. 4-seeded El Paso-Gridley on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
