GCMS/Fisher wrestler Chet McClure finishes fourth in state; Cameron Schwing bounced in quarterinal wrestlebacks

CHAMPAIGN — Chet McClure finished fourth among the 138-pound wrestlers in Saturday's IHSA state meet.

He pinned West Frankfort's Gavin Restivo in 5:27 in the wrestleback quarterfinals and won a 9-1 major decision over Quincy Notre Dame's Gage Stephens in the semifinals before losing via 5-3 decision to Lena-Winslow's Austin McPeek in the third-place match.

In the 113-pound division, Cameron Schwing lost in the wrestleback quarterfinals via 5-2 decision to Jarrid Braunagel of Belleville Althoff Catholic.
