Paxton wrestler Keyn Humes wrestles in IWCOA Freshman/Sophomore state meet

SPRINGFIELD -- Keyn Humes of the Paxton Youth Wrestling Club went 2-2 in the Illinois Wrestling Coaches & Officials Association's Freshman-Sophomore state meet.
Humes, a Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School sophomore, pinned Kyle Hickman of Leo in 1:56 in the first round of wrestlebacks in the 132-pound bracket and won via 14-11 decision over Nathaniel Burns of Carlinville in the second round before losing via 18-10 major decision to Mitch Millsap of Belleville West in the third round.
In the first round of the championship bracket, Humes lost via 11-3 major decision to Wheeling's Andy Madrigal.
